Registration Dates & Prices

Before completing the registration process for the CI-CPT exam, review the CI-CPT Candidate Handbook, as well as Exam Information. Also, review the Exam Day Information.

Exam registrations must be made no less than 48 hours prior to the exam session. Often, exam sessions will fill and close prior to the 48-hour period. Register early for the exam session of your choice.

CI-CPT Exam Fee - $250
Re-test - $195

The discounted re-test fee is available for one year from the first attempt test date. After one year, the full exam fee is charged.

Exam fees are subject to change without prior notice.

Choose one of the following three methods to complete registration for The Cooper Institute Certified Personal Trainer (CI-CPT) Exam. If you are registering to retake the exam within a one year period of the first attempt, call a Program Coordinator to see if you qualify for a reduced exam fee.

1. Online registration through our current course offerings using your credit card.

NOTE: If you are currently enrolled in a Cooper Personal Training Workshop, you will need to sign up for the Certification Examination separately at an additional cost.

2. Call a Program Coordinator at (800) 635-7050 with your preferred examination date and credit card or alternate payment information.

3. Print a registration form and mail it along with your payment (check,
money order, or credit card) to the address below:
